Like all people, emerging and established artists face business and legal problems specific to their profession. Artist have by law obligations and rights they are too often unaware of.
Art un-related business worshops fail to focus on the specific needs of creative people. This workshop relates directly to an artist's need.
- Arts Organisations and their help (including most relevant Website addresses, where to get free magazines and useful free publications for the arts)
- Free Stuff – Where to get free or low cost publications, legal advice, job services etc.?
- Tax and Insurance. Finding an Accountant with experience in the arts. Where to get the cheapest public liability insurance for artists in Queensland?
- Pro and contra of freelancing. What are the differences between being self-employed or employed.
- Pricing your artwork Australian Industry Payment Standards for artists, commissions, exhibition work and reproductions license fees. Proper Invoicing.
